Brian Guy
Founder and Editor
To say Brian Guy is hooked on live theatre would be an understatement. As of this writing, Brian has subscriptions to at least four theatres in the Seattle area, in addition to seeing numerous shows in New York each season. Brian has also performed as an amateur actor in community theatre plays and musicals, and he has enjoyed taking acting classes and vocal lessons to further enhance his appreciation of and respect for this art form. “My absolute favorite thing of all of this is just meeting more amazing theatre people, as theatre people are the best. And if I get to spread the word about the joy of live theatre in the process, that’s bonus,” says Brian.
Brian is not only founder and editor of PreviewNight.com, but he is also co-founder of a nonprofit organization, Neurodiversity Allies, which advocates for sensory accessibility in live theatre. Brian spearheaded the very first Sensory-Friendly production of A Christmas Carol at ACT Theatre in Seattle, and Neurodiversity Allies brought the first-ever Sensory-Friendly mainstage musicals and plays to community theatres on Bainbridge Island. Brian has also been a volunteer usher at Paramount Theatre in Seattle, The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, and at various community theatres in the region. Brian especially enjoys volunteering at Sensory-Accessible performances. “There’s nothing greater than seeing the joy of a neurodivergent patron enjoying live theatre for the very first time, because finally there is a judgment-free and sensory accessible option,” says Brian.
Going to so many shows has taught Brian a few things about seat selection (hint: it varies by show and by venue) and which shows to prioritize seeing (there are too many to see them all). Therefore, Brian is working on a book to share these learnings. This book is targeted for publication in early 2026. Follow Brian on Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky to stay updated!
