Suffs (National Tour)

Suffs is a must-see musical that originally premiered Off-Broadway at The Public Theater in 2022 before opening on Broadway in 2024. On Broadway, Suffs won the 2024 Tony Award for “Best Book of a Musical” and “Best Original Score.” The book and the music were indeed highlights for me. It was also nominated for several other Tony Awards, including “Best Musical.”

A brand new national tour has just kicked off with The 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle being the first stop. The show remains in Seattle through September 27 before heading to San Diego. The full tour schedule is available at https://suffsmusical.com/tour-schedule.

Suffs is a must-see not just for its story about the American women’s suffrage movement, but also because the story is relevant and timely for any marginalized group. This book is so good and would have been equally powerful as a play. The wonderful music and stellar vocals from this cast are just bonus to such an important story.
